There is no denying it, I went shopping and spent a small fraction of the money that I ideally wanted to save... Surely I cannot be blamed, especially since the drugstore is full of new and exciting products! Although I only got 3 things, I felt I should still share because I'm extremely pleased with what I picked up and also hope they will bring good things for me. (Or my face anyway!)
So the first thing I just couldn't resist picking up off the Maybelline selection of make-up was their latest mascara. I have seen only a few blog posts/reviews on this product and I really wanted to try it out for myself whilst it has £2 knocked off the RRP.
This mascara is called 'the rocket volum' express' and claims to give your lashes 8x the volume with no clumps with its exclusive jet-glide brush. So far so good, well, I like the packaging and the look of the wand but I haven't yet tried the mascara itself yet until tomorrow morning! As I said before, the introductory price of this product is £5.99 instead of £7.99 - grab it for that price whilst you still can!
I then noticed that Maybelline's Master shape brow pencil in 'dark blond' had 50p off, not a lot I know but considering I wanted to try a new eyebrow product I thought I'd give this one ago! As with many of these products, it consists of the pencil one end and a brush the other. I'm definitely looking forward to trying this as I know the eyeliners have been raved about quite a lot...
And last but no means least is a lip product *cheers*, I love lipstick. I was browsing the MUA swiveling stand, which I secretly enjoy a lot, and decided to look at their £1 lipstick range in case any new shades had been released. Whilst I was looking I spotted this really lovely pink shade, I have a few pinks but there was something different about this one - its a cross between a berry-pink and a fuchsia, I like it an awful lot! At just £1 you can't go wrong with these, I love the consistency, pigment and lasting power.
I wonder what three new products I'll be trying out tomorrow?! Keep an eye out right here for reviews on these because if I like them then I will definitely be writing some. :-)
