H&M's Beauty Blender

Whilst shopping with my friend Charlotte on Saturday I decided to have a quick look in H&M, I've never found anything that I like in this particular store before (apart from a pair of standard black leggings) and was pleasantly surprised as to how many items of clothing I liked! I didn't actually pick anything up due to lack of money however I did spot this dinky make-up sponge and couldn't resist, mainly as it looked similar to the 'beauty blender'.

The sponge itself is in a pointed shape again resembling what it is perhaps a dupe for and is extremely soft to touch. I have used it to apply my foundation and concealer with for the past couple of days and it seems to be a very nice budget base applicator which is perfect for those of us that are strapped for cash! The pointed edge is brilliant for blending foundation into every small area of the face, as opposed to a large brush that would struggle to fit into the nooks and cranny's of the face, such as around your nose. So far I have only applied one layer of foundation with this which obviously gives quite a sheer coverage but I believe that if I was to apply more than this and build up the coverage that this nifty little sponge would do a grand job of giving an airbrushed finish. The only noticeable difference between this and the official blender shown below is in its shape, however this is only slight and shows the H&M and Cosmo Blender to have a more pointed tip.

What amazed me the most is the price of the product which is only £1.99, below are images of both the Cosmopolitan 'Beauty Expert Blend Perfection Sponge' and the official 'Beauty Blender Sponge'...

                 £4.95 (feelunique)             £15.00 (amazon.co.uk)

So as you can see, there is not much between these three sponges, they all do exactly the same thing - apply make-up, yet the difference is shown in the three individual prices and although the other two sponges may be fantastic too, I believe that the H&M Beauty Blender is perfect for those on a budget that cannot afford professional brushes.
