What Happened to Sisterhood? Katie Hopkins, Pipe Down.

Katie Hopkins, Columnist for 'The Sun', has recently become a controversial public figure for her outbursts that most of us just wouldn't get away with saying. It all started when she featured on This Morning and claimed how she judged small children based on their names which ruffled a few feathers among the audience of the show to say the least...

However, even more recently Katie has been saying some incredibly insulting things to certain people in the limelight which hasn't helped her in the slightest. The latest is that Gemma Collins from The Only Way is Essex has only won numerous awards and praise because 'she is fat'. That was before pointing her horrid finger at singer Lily Allen and commenting on her baby weight, claiming that all motherhood has done for Lily is cause her to gain two stone in weight and to look 'hideous'.

Now I don't know about any of you but I thought that females were supposed to stand up for and support one another, rather than slate each other and comment on one another's weight. I'm not entirely sure whether Katie does this for attention or whether she is just truly heartless but to bring down other women, who are probably above you anyway, is downright wrong. I think that sisterhood is extremely important and people in the public eye should probably consider this before spreading their unwanted opinions across the nation. What kind of example is this behaviour to the younger generation? There is nothing right with making rude comments and assumptions about a person when you aren't perfect yourself, nobody is. Luckily, everyone is against her word which seems to be turning Katie into almost a 'Most Hated Person' which I suppose is setting a good example to everyone.

If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all - is a phrase that I learnt at primary school and still stand by it to a certain extent. All I can say is that I hope Katie gets banned from appearing on television with such a cruel instinct and that the media will eventually get fed up with her, stopping her from getting the attention that she obviously desires.

What do you think?
Thanks for reading (sorry for the rant!)
