At the start of 2013, there will definitely not be any 'new year, new start' gabble coming from my mouth - this being because I did that at the start of 2012 and well, what a year it has been since then. I've quite honestly had one of the best years of my life, if not the best. I've learnt a lot from my experiences and I'm rather proud of my achievements when looking back over the past 12 months!
I remember that on New Years Eve last year I wrote the numbers '2011' on a piece of paper and burnt it on my Nanny's fire because I desperately wanted things to change, and slowly but surely they did after a few months. This meaning that I do understand why people state things such as 'new year, new me' when we get to the end of each year, its a chance to change your ways and start a clean slate, make changes to whatever you don't like in your life, it almost seems the perfect opportunity to do something about it.
Through my eyes, I don't believe that 2012 is coming to an end for me, because I don't want it to. Instead I see my happiness carrying on into a new year and not changing because I very much like where I am right now, so why on earth would I let the change of year muddle with that? :) My point being that just because there's soon to be a change in year, it doesn't mean everything has to change, unless you want it to. You are in control of your own life and so do what makes you happy.
I hope that 2013 is just as good for me as 2012 has been and I wish you all the best of luck in the upcoming months no matter what may stand in your way of smiling sometimes.
