Miss Glossybox Review

I was over the moon to receive Glossybox's recent release 'Miss Glossybox' to review on my blog as I have never bought a standard Glossybox before and felt that the 'young beauty' box would be a good place to start, allowing me to decide whether I like the concept or not. Truth is, I do! It is beyond pleasing to open a medium sized box and see a mixture of products all laying there for me to delve into, bloggers heaven I think you will agree? Anyway onto the contents...

So, in comparison to the ordinary Glossybox the products come in a polystyrene type of drawstring bag - some may be disappointed with this aspect of the younger box, as I know from reading and watching many reviews that the boxes are highly thought after due to the storage that they can provide. In my opinion however, I think the idea of a nifty lightweight bag which in its own way, can be used for storing odd bits and pieces, especially for its target demographic of younger girls.

Inside the bag was these beautiful goodies, all of which I have never tried which is an added bonus!

  1. Firstly, came the 'Eye Rock' Tattoo set. In all honesty I don't think that I would apply this to my eyes before going out on an everyday basis! However, this doesn't mean to say that if I was attending a party of some sort that I wouldn't try this out because knowing me, I definitely would! In some ways I think that products like this are nice to receive as if it wasn't for them being given to us, we might never branch out and try them. RRP £5.99
  2. Next, the Beauty UK 'line and define' eye pencil in black. I really like the fact that in comparison to the first product, this is an extremely simple one that is especially good for the target audience again as for somebody just starting out with make-up this would be perfect. Also, I must add that I shall definitely be using this! RRP £1.99
  3. Ah, the Molly Mabel 'Pop Band'. This hair accessory is probably one of my favourites from the box as I just love the idea of being able to put your hair up without it leaving a kink if you wanted to take it down again. Why has nobody thought of this before? I cannot wait to test it out. RRP £4-8
  4. A pair of nail clippers and a nail file in a cute matching, stripy pattern. Despite the simplicity of this product I think that they are two essential tools needed for those that are just starting to care for themselves in terms of beauty and that I believe, is the main idea of the box itself.
  5. 2True Glitterati Nail Polish in Shade 6. I don't think I have ever seen such a gorgeous nail product in all my life and I was surprised at the fact that it is by Superdrug's own brand for only £1.99. Not only a bargain but a pretty one too and it has rose-gold particles in it, ooo!
  6. The So...? Dry Shampoo in Va Va Volume and Lovely. Until this box was released, I never realised that So...? sold more than their little body sprays and dry shampoo is very handy to have to hand and since this is in a small travel size bottle, it is perfect for extra oomph on the go! RRP £2.49 - 150ml
  7. Last but by no means least is the Amie Skincare Spring Clean Cooling Clay Mask. I am into face masks quite a lot at the moment and so this lovely product came just at the right time for me. It's also good to add that this mask has nothing bad or artificial such as sulphates in it and so I'm not hesitant to try it on my skin! RRP £4.95 - 75ml

Who can forget the yummy heart shaped lollipop?!

All in all, I really did enjoy rooting around this box of goodies and if you would like to subscribe to the once every other month treat, either for you or a friend, daughter etc, it is just £7.00 per box (plus p+p) and when you look at the contents, I think the price is extremely reasonable. Thanks, Glossybox!
