Wishing you good luck... but definitely not goodbye!

This is something that has been fast approaching for a lot of people for a while I would imagine, but it just never feels real until it gets closer to actually happening, and that is - a best friend leaving for university.

In my case it is in fact one of my closest friends Mel and like I said, we all knew that it was going to happen but it doesn't actually hit you until you sit down and finally decide to consider what is going to happen. I just thought I would write a blog post about the situation as a little good luck token and also as a way of sharing a few funny memories and photos too!

I can't actually remember how many years ago it was we met (I think it was around about 5 years ago) and we have been close ever since. We used to be incredibly cool and take self-timer pictures at various local parks when we first started to meet up, woo we certainly knew how to have a good time! Here's an example...

The first of many self-timer pictures
This one was, as it says, taken in 2010 and is the day when Mel dropped my camera
and broke it in our town's bowling alley hahaha.
At one of a few sleepovers
And another...
I look petrified.
The classic Strikes toilet selfie!
Me, Mel and Charlotte
Sumo Wrestling in gigantic costumes - so much fun!
It was obviously extremely necessary to have our picture taken with this ha
At my village's park, way too many pictures from this short visit!
Yet another self-timer 'sitting on a park fence' picture!
Before a local show earlier this year
On my 17th birthday in Norwich with Charlotte
We are so sexy.
James, me, Charlotte and Mel at Charlotte's party :-)
Again, evil eyes haha.
At Dereham Windmill's music festival

There is no way possible that I could write this post without having a little bit of a soppy speech about our friendship at the end, so here goes! Melanie has been such an amazing friend to me since the day we met and one of the only friend's that continued to support me in times where I wasn't able to meet up with her. I guess that's because she is an extremely kind person that understood why and in a way, waited and supported me during that time until I was able to socialise properly again. I cannot explain how much I will miss her but I do know that this is certainly not a goodbye that will last for a long time, we'll all be reunited before we know it and this is just the start of her success, I know it!

Good luck at University, see you soon and love you lots x x
