Mr dod Makes it Happen!

I honestly can't believe it was a week ago today since I met Amanda Holden. Not that long ago I really didn't think it would ever come true! I've wanted to meet my idol ever since I first started looking up to her around 4 years ago, but even more so since she's known of my existence in the fan girling world that is the community of Holdenites on Twitter. 

Never did I think that starting Zumba fitness classes would raise my chances of my dream coming true. In fact, it was around that time I could see it slipping further and further away! Even when I first started the classes, having such an amazing instructor (Mr dod, @mrzumba) I just knew that we'd have a laugh outside of the classes as well after getting to know each other better. I remember him saying to me 'I'm on a mission for you to meet Amanda' after I'd come to his class with my I Love Amanda Holden hoodie on! To be honest, so many people had said that to me in the past I wasn't sure if it would actually happen this time. I was of course wrong!

When Mr dod offered to take me to see Amanda presenting Jesus Christ Superstar in Wembley I was beyond excited, I couldn't believe it until the day arrived. It may have been a long journey there but it was obviously still good fun! Not only was I going to meet my idol after she messaged me to say I could, but I was visiting London for the first time too. The amount of messages I got from Amanda fans saying they were happy for me was overwhelming and made me even happier about it all. I even got to meet 4 of them there!

I did meet Amanda at the end of the show and they were some of the best moments of my entire life, it was incredible to actually meet her in person after so long, I was rather starstruck and didn't get to say half of what I wanted to but I hope they'll be another time. :-)

I wanted to write this blog post as a way of showing appreciation of what Mr dod did for me, I'll never ever be able to thank him enough for making my dreams come true even on Friday 13th! He has totally made me realise that dreams can come true and that people do care enough to make them happen if you're patient enough. Now I feel like any other dreams I want to fulfil could more than definitely become a reality if I put my trust in the right people to make it become a reality. Don't ever give up your hopes and dreams because one day they will transpire even if you can't see it yet...

Thank you Mr dod, I'll always support you in the Zumba world and so will Amanda! ;-)
