As many other teenagers this September is where things are set to change in our lives, I thankfully got into my chosen Sixth Form and will start on Thursday 6th. Despite the English grading being diabolical this year I still got given a place which I was chuffed about. Today was the daunting yet intriguing enrolment, followed by our 2 induction days on the upcoming Monday and Tuesday which should give us a proper insight into the college.
We were reminded time and time again this morning just how much hard work we are going to have to put into our subjects, but you know what? I'm determined, these A Levels should get me where I would like to go next in my life and if I want to achieve my goals then the hard work is beyond necessary. One downside is having to re-sit my Maths GCSE but I'm pretty certain I can overcome that little obstacle along the way! I've finally made the decision to take English Language/Literature, Media and Photography which are 3 subjects that interest me no end so I have no fear of getting bored of them half way through the courses.
I can already sense that I'll cope with all the cutting-edge surroundings since I've done well in unfamiliar situations before now. I'm genuinely looking forward to interacting with different people in the same boat as me, although a bit nerve racking its definitely got a sense of thrill chucked in there too!
Everything is exciting. A new environment, many new people, two new subjects and so much more.
