This is yet another product that I received for Christmas and just had to review, this time I'm talking about 17's Gel Eyeliner in black.
I'll tell you the truth about gel eyeliners and me, I've only tried one from a very cheap brand before in order to try one and so I'm not very experienced with the ones produced by the drugstore. I happened to receive this in a make-up set by 17 for Christmas (if you don't already know, 17 is a brand which is sold in Boots), so as you can imagine I was rather excited to try what I would call - a 'proper' gel eyeliner!
Ever since first getting into make-up I always loved wearing black eyeliner but only the pencil kind were around then, I always had trouble with them no matter which type I wore because they used to smudge underneath my eye and make me look like a panda. Over 2012, I steered away from wearing eyeliner as much as I could because of this and as I said tried the cheaper gel eyeliner but even that didn't seem to work or do what it should. So ever since then I'd always thought that the more expensive ones would do the same but it seems that I have proved myself wrong...
Since receiving this eyeliner by 17 at Christmas I've tried it out quite a few times, on both the upper and lower lashes and guess what? No smudging! I have been so pleased with the lasting power and quality of this and for only £3.99 from Boots you can't go wrong in my opinion, this product is also a great alternative to liquid liner if you can't quite master applying it as this one is both creamy and very easy to apply. I can now go back to my eye-lining days when I wish to with very little effort and no worry as to whether I look like an animal that belongs in a zoo!
In case you were wondering, I just use a flat eyeliner brush to apply this which you can pick up from pretty much anywhere! As you can see, the product on Boots website is in called something different but seeing as its from the same brand I would expect them to be similar, I know that I'll definitely be repurchasing from them anyway.
Before I go here is an image of me wearing the eyeliner on both lower and upper lash lines:
