As I had a little bit of money for the first time in quite a few weeks today that of course meant that I just had to spend around half of it. To make me feel a lot better about this I thought 'ah I know, I'll put everything into a blog post!' which for some reason justified the fact I spent any money at all... So as the above shows, this post is going to be simple and sweet as I'll just be sharing with you what I bought today, where from and for how much!
Starting with fashion, I got a cream scalloped crop top originally from Primark from a charity shop which still had the tag on it and also has cute black polka dots on it too. This lovely piece stood out to me and I just absolutely love it, for only £2 I don't think you can get better than that! Alongside that, I also picked up a chunky gold chain necklace from Peacocks - something of which I have wanted to purchase for a really long time now! This was only £4 (bargain!) however I got student discount on top of that which meant that it came to a grand total of just £3.60, hell yeah. I am pretty excited to try wearing this necklace with many outfits to just add a bit more to them!
In terms of beauty, I picked up two things from Natural Collection. I have only ever bought a lipstick from this range before and it is in fact one of my favourites and so when I was on the hunt for a new lip gloss, I figured it would be a good idea to try this make-up stand in Boots. I looked at the shades and ended up choosing the shade 'Sherbet Fizz' which is a nice pale pink colour on the lips, it actually reminds me a lot of the Barry M lip glosses as both the texture and scent are similar. Whilst having a browse I spotted the small tubes of cream blush and remembered reading a blog post on them and so since the make-up is currently Buy One Get One Half Price I couldn't resist picking one up, I got the shade 'Rosy Pink' which is a natural pink which I think will give a nice hint of colour to the cheeks. Natural Collection is a range of make-up ranging from eyeshadow to foundation within Boots stores and each product, no matter what it is, is just £1.99.
I was on the hunt for some sort of scrubbing face brush or scrublet for when I cleanse my face at night after removing my make-up and guess what? I found one! I got these Deep Cleansing Cellulose Sponges which promise to ensure deep, effective facial cleansing and so I am hoping that these little things are as good as I would like! They are from the Boots Botanics range and cost £3 for two.
After purchasing more than enough beauty items in one day for me I then of course had to go down the make-up isle of Tesco and spotted that Collection had 50p off their lipsticks. I have a couple of them already and think that they are quite nice for the price, I also spotted the shade that I've had my eye on for a while called 'Mango Tango' which is a coral red colour. I love it and it was only £2.50!
Now onto the random, in the image above you may notice a few random items such as hair grips from Wilko for 80p and a packet of Extra White chewing gum for 49p! The most exciting product from the list of oddities is a hand sanitizer by Carex, the reason I find this thrilling is due to the fact that it is in the form of a SPRAY. My mind was blown when I spotted this in Savers and it had the small price tag of 49p also which made it even better!
So that is what I got today! I hope you enjoyed and thank you for reading x
