Finding Myself | A Little Update

Now I know that usually my blog is filled with beauty products, outfit of the days and rather specific things but I just felt as if a lifestyle post was needed because for me, these are sometimes the most interesting to read and also for me to write. I decided that a little update on what I'm doing at the moment, since it's the summer holidays would be the best thing to do and plus, I feel that it is definitely needed when writing a blog - for the readers to know your circumstances. (Blah blah blah)

Where do I start? Well, it's officially the summer holidays now and there is no Sixth Form until September! Don't get me wrong it is really great to be given a break from all the stress and down sides of college but in terms of the social aspect and routine, I guess you could say that I'm missing it. Oh, how sad. Yes I did just admit that publicly and online but you know, it's the truth! Talking of college, results day is looming and although I am trying my best to ignore it, I know that it won't go away. Good luck to anyone else receiving results this month too!

The more exciting news is that I have managed to bag myself a weeks worth of useful and relevant work experience at my local newspaper's office! I had tried everywhere else but this one little place in my local town and once I enquired, I then got which was amazing and I start on the 19th of this month. This is the perfect experience for me to gain as I would eventually like to study Media at University and so anything that is relevant and that I can add to my personal statement and CV is brilliant for the future. 

Something with a bit more permanence to it however, is the new job that I will hopefully be starting at the end of August! I cannot tell you how long I have waited to get a small Saturday job and at the beginning of this week I was literally in the right place and the right time. It is in a cute gift shop in my local town and I will be working most Saturday's which is exactly what I wanted whilst I'm still in full time education. I have a small job trial coming up next week for a few hours a day, two days a week for two weeks which will allow me to get used to working the till (eek) and other things too, thank goodness! 

So that is me and my life at the moment - I guess the title is relevant as I've managed to find both the perfect work experience and part time job which makes me very happy, leaving me feeling as if I have found myself for the moment and over the summer - yipee!
